I’m Landon, a high school student - seeking Entrepreneurship programs and internships.
Bouldering allows me to challenge myself physically and mentally. It takes commitment, persistence, and discipline to improve. I find that the bouldering community is composed of dedicated and friendly individuals. When I hit a plateau, I almost gave up, but I reached out to some friends and as a group we learned to enjoy the challenge together. I always like to try harder problems and I think that the best climber is not the strongest or the smartest, but the one who finds the most joy in it.
Academics
Tenth grader at Laguna Beach High School - 4.0 GPA. In 9th grade, received 2 Breaker Awards from my English and Math teachers - given only to a select few students with exceptional performance and character.
Internship Experience
At Berify.io, I helped conceptualize ideas for the initial launch. Berify is a technology company that uses Blockchain to solve problems with product authentication, tracking, and user engagement. My observation and experience with gaming produced the 3 pillars of Berify: gamification/rewards, peer to peer interaction, and exclusive content.
Berify uses smart tags based on the Blockchain to authenticate products. With implementation of scannable tags (via phone app), exclusive brands can consolidate their reputation and user engagement. By using the interface, valuable geographical and user data can be collected.
Interests
I believe life is an adventure. I love a good challenge and don’t give up until I reach my goal. My tolerance for risk has allowed me to reach further advancements in the things I enjoy - rock climbing, snowboarding and karting.
Life hits you with fear and sometimes you don’t know why or how. But, as a young snowboarder, I overcame my fear. The only way simply was to send it.
You know you love something when you keep on grinding despite the 100 degree weather, hours long drives, constantly risking your life, extreme dehydration, foul smelling porta-potties…it seems so unappealing, yet the golden feeling of charging a straight at 50 mph in an open seater is like nothing else. Speed is my addiction.
